Legendary senior writer, Packers lead blogger & NFC North featured columnist jclombardi talks about Packers competition between backup quarterbacks.

On the lighter side of NFL sports news, we were amused to read about the Packers fluff press building up the local Wisconsin product quarterback Scott Tolzien.  According to the local Packers fluff sports press:

Despite playing at least half of the exhibition opener in a driving rainstorm, Matt Flynn and Scott Tolzien have been impressive in the first two games. After working second behind Rodgers all week in practice, the suspicion is that Flynn will be the first man off the bench Friday night against the Oakland Raiders at Lambeau Field. The following week against Kansas City, it's entirely possible that Tolzien would start. "It's neck and neck," quarterbacks coach Van Pelt said. "You look at rep count, completion percentage, explosive gains, they're both having solid camps. We'd love to have them both, obviously, but that's a tough question that I couldn't answer."

Recently, we read an awful clique Packers blog declare, “Scott Tolzien is the backup quarterback!” We had not laughed so loud in a long time. Tolzien simply reminds us of an upgraded Wisconsin product Randy Wright! How can we forget those glorious years when QB Wright led the Packers. Forget it fans!  The backup quarterback will be QB Matt Flynn.
