COMMENTARY: Borrowing an American cliche, we do not know what to say. Now, the Chicago sports press quoted Chicago Bears Head Coach saying:

I've always been a big Packers fan. Of course we will (root for the Packers). Minnesota is playing good football of course. The Packers have (played good football). We have a tough division. As we said this week, we can't do much about that.

Bears bloggers joined the sunny Packers parade declaring:

As a staunch Bears supporter and anti-Packers fan, there was only one scenario in which I have said I would ever root for the Packers. And that is in a Week 17 game where a Packers victory would send the Bears to the playoffs. Well, Bears fans: hell has frozen over. Go! Pack! Go! (here’s a video to get you in the mood. And anotherAnd another.)

Smiling American sports fans responded, "I'll be damned!" The Packers sports nation declared the so-called classic Packers vs Bears rivalry to be dead. Meanwhile, with the holidays, the new year dawn, and the NFL playoffs, the Packers are not only "America's team" but also it turns out that their biggest fans are Chicago Bears!
