Legendary senior writer jclombardi reports Packers GM Thompson is Sporting News' Executive of Year.

Sporting News chose General Manager Ted Thompon as the NFL's "Excecutive of the Year" in their 2011 NFL Awards. In 2007, GM Thompson also won the award. After both awards, the Packers lost to the Giants in the playoffs.
