With the bye week over, the Packers are back practicing for the Sunday game against the Lions. In a Monday move that will rekindle an old storyline, the Packers placed injured right tackle Bryan Bulaga on season-ending injured reserve. Thus, offensive lineman T.J. Lang will take over at right tackle to replace Bulaga. Ironically, offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith will talke over at left guard for Lang. Last year, in a Thanksgiving game against the Lions, Dietrich-Smith filled in at right guard when he got stomped by Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. Suh got a two-game suspension along with the reputation to being the dirtiest player in the NFL. In 2011 week 17 rematch, the Packers won at Lambeau Field, EDS played as a backup and no incident occurred although he did allow a third-quarter sack of Matt Flynn to Suh.

Monday, EDS commented to espnmilwaukee.com, “I don’t even think about it anymore. I think writers and stuff try to make more about it than it was, but it’s not really on my mind.” However, right guard Josh Sitton, who will draw the assignment against Suh, said amusingly: “That’s something that’s in the past. We can’t really think about anything that’s gone on in the past. He just better not stomp me.”
